School & Tryout Clinics
It is common for schools to have students pay a $10-$20 try-out fee to cover the cost of a professionally done try-out. It limits stress on
teachers, parents, administration, and most importantly coaches. School Clinics are usually put on by the cheer program as a fundraiser for the upcoming school year.
Material
Your school will receive try-out material based on the age and skill level
of your schools’ cheerleaders.
Instruction
PCS Coaches will teach your material to students at the clinics and give
them tips on how to have a successful tryout. Sessions will last for up to 1.5 hours
each day.
Judge’s Fee Included
If requested, PCS will provide outside judges for your try-out. These judges will
be different than the staff members who taught the material and will not be
associated with anyone at your school. We want to make sure there is no favoritism
during this process to ensure less controversy once the final team is announced.
Try-out Choreography will consist of:
1. Personalized chants
2. One dance, 4-6 eight counts in length
3. Appropriate music on one CD
